Buddha tattoo designs - part 2

The two typical things about a Buddha tattoo are the big ears and the lotus he is sititng on. This free tattoo design have got both on. Sometimes, I cannot help to think: isn't tattoo just a very special paint?

This free smiling Buddha tattoo design is called Maitreya (Sanskrit), Metteyya (Pāli), or Jampa (Tibetan), is a future Buddha of this world in Buddhist eschatology. In some Buddhist literature, such as the Amitabha Sutra and the Lotus Sutra, he is referred to as Ajita Bodhisattva.

Buddha tattoo designs - part 1

The artist designed this free tattoo to be like stone sculpture. The head ornaments is to increase exquisiteness.
The Bodhi here is Avalokiteśvara ( "Lord who looks down") is the bodhisattva who embodies the compassion of all Buddhas. Avalokiteśvara is also referred to as "Holder of the Lotus".

This tattoo design is a Buddha head. Of course, it is Chinese style. Dont know whether you guys notice, the artist wants to make it look like bronze statue. To achieve this, the natural human skin color is kept appropriately.

This is the free tattoo design about Avalokiteshvar, who is is the bodhisattva who embodies the compassion of all Buddhas. He is the most widely revered bodhisattva in Buddhism. Notice that he has so many hands, that is why he is also called 1000-hand Guanyin.
